Getting to Seattle

By Air (International & Domestic): Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is the main airport, located approximately 20 miles (32 km) south of the University of Washington campus. The airport is served by major international and domestic airlines, offering direct flights from many international destinations as well as connections throughout the United States.

By Train: Amtrak's Coast Starlight and Empire Builder routes serve Seattle, connecting the city to major destinations along the West Coast and across the United States.

By Bus: Greyhound and other bus services provide affordable transportation options to Seattle from various cities within the United States.

Getting from SEA Airport to UW Campus

Link Light Rail (Recommended): The Link Light Rail provides direct service from Sea-Tac Airport to the University of Washington Station. The journey takes approximately 50-60 minutes and costs around $3.25. From the UW Station, it is a short walk to the HUB (conference venue). This is the most convenient and cost-effective option.

Rideshare (Uber/Lyft): Rideshare services are available at the airport. The trip to UW campus typically takes 30-45 minutes depending on traffic and costs approximately $35-50.

Taxis: Traditional taxis are available at the airport. The fare to UW campus is typically $45-60, depending on traffic.

Airport Shuttles: Several shuttle services operate between Sea-Tac Airport and the University District. Advance reservations are recommended.

Getting Around Seattle

Public Transit: King County Metro operates buses and the Link light rail system, providing convenient access throughout the city and surrounding areas. A single ride costs approximately $2.75-$3.25. The U District Station and the University of Washington Station on the Link Light Rail are very close to the UW campus.

Rideshare & Taxis: Uber, Lyft, and traditional taxi services are readily available throughout the city.

Walking & Biking: The University District and UW campus are very walkable. Many hotels are within walking distance of the conference venue. Seattle also has bike lanes and bike-sharing programs available.
